ZLB Behring Foundation Awards Grants to Benefit Bleeding Disorders Community
The ZLB Behring Foundation for Research and Advancement of Patient Health has recently awarded funding for programs designed to benefit the bleeding disorders community. The Foundation awards grants at regular intervals throughout the year. In this cycle, nine recipients received awards. The grants support a range of initiatives, such as those that support and educate specific patient populations to research on the genetic aspect of hemophilia.

ZLB Behring Foundation Appoints New Members to Board of Directors
The ZLB Behring Foundation for Research and Advancement of Patient Health today announced the appointment of two new board members, Dr. Leonard A. Valentino of Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and Beatrice Young Pierce, RN, MSN, a bleeding disorders advocate in Rancho Santa Fe, California. Both appointees will play a significant role in the selection of Foundation grant recipients.

ZLB Behring Foundation Awards Second Round of 2004 Grants to Benefit Bleeding Disorders Community
The ZLB Behring Foundation for Research and Advancement of Patient Health (formerly the Aventis Behring Foundation) has recently selected the final of two rounds of grant recipients for 2004. In this cycle of awards, the ZLB Behring Foundation extended eight grants totaling nearly $400,000 for a variety of projects designed to benefit people affected by bleeding disorders. This is the second disbursement of $1 million in incremental funding provided to the Foundation by ZLB Behring (formerly Aventis Behring) in 2004.

Aventis Behring Foundation Awards First Round of 2004 Grants to Benefit Bleeding Disorders Community
The Aventis Behring Foundation for Research and Advancement of Patient Health has recently selected the first of two rounds of grant recipients for 2004. In this cycle of awards, the Aventis Behring Foundation extended 11 grants for a variety of projects designed to benefit the bleeding disorders community, including the first awards selected under the "unrestricted patient organization grant" category for smaller, community based organizations announced in December 2003. This is the first disbursement of the $1 million in incremental funding provided to the Foundation by Aventis Behring in 2004.
